Amalendu Kaushik is the director and co-founder of Studio Zeng. He graduated from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and his specialization lies in animation filmmaking, and direction. He is also interested in preserving stories and culture through comics and animated films. He also likes experimental music, graffiti, new-media technologies, and folklore from northeast India.

COURSE MOTION DESIGN

Course: Motion Graphics

Vipul Barla graduated from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad under Animation and Film Design. He is one of the co-founders of Studio Zeng. He is originally from Ranchi and has been working with local stories, Adivasi folklores and commercial projects. His design skills are oriented towards creating visual narratives, visualization & conceptualization.

Diksha Brahma is an architect, UI/UX designer and strategist currently collaborating with Studio Zeng. She did her bachelors in Architecture from Chitkara University in 2020 and is currently pursuing her Masters in Design from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. She specializes in branding, typography and user research. She plays a motherly role in handling the demeanor of the space and people around her.  She adores great love and care for nature and is an active member of Animal Welfare Committee at IITG.

Course: Brand Identity

Palash Barua is a visual designer/writer/speculatist with a keen interest in exploring the larger role design can play in shaping anthro-futures and alt-narratives. He will be conducting the Brand + Identity Design module with a heavy focus on strategy and alternate thinking. An avid reader with an eye for independent cinema, he graduated from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, specializing in Visual Communication and has worked across all scales of design service-from design studios to corporates.

Sanjoyana is a freelance Communication Designer who graduated from National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh. She is currently based in her hometown, Guwahati, where she actively takes part in initiatives that deal with folklore, storytelling, cultural heritage and documentation. Illustration projects have always been her most cherished work. She is also an avid appreciator of typogaphy and perceives life through comic panels. Likes reading fiction and spending quality time with nature.

Nicholas Pegu is a freelance graphic/brand designer specialising in typography. He has previously interned in Lopez Design and Codesign and has worked on various brand identity and publication projects ever since. Even though he loves doing identity design, his soul lies in crafting custom type that captures and expresses tons of emotions. Someday, he wants to design a full typeface family.

Dapoon Rai Dewan is an animation director in Vaibhav Studios, Mumbai (best known for "Simpu", "Chulbuli" and "Lamput"). He has 15 years of experience in the industry and has a passion for exploring 2D, 3D and stopmotion animation through different mediums. He loves making comics and telling funny and poignant stories through them. His work has won him numerous awards, including the FICCI frames and the ASIFA awards of excellence. Apart from animation, he has an enchant for singing, cycling and skateboarding

Shaunauk Sokey is an animator and illustrator with a passion for storytelling. He graduated from the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad where he specialized in animation filmmaking and directing. With his creativity and technical skills, he brings characters and worlds to life through animation and illustration. He specializes in traditional hand-drawn animation and digital techniques and has dabbled in stop-motion animation to create memorable experiences that entertain, educate and inspire viewers.

Krishnabh Thengal is an animator and visual development artist based in Guwahati. He is currently working on his Graduation Degree in Animation Film Design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. He enjoys reading about culture and has a keen interest in telling local folklore and stories through animation and illustrations. When not animating or illustrating, he writes music and plays the guitar. He likes to travel and sketch his journey.
